There are various types of Guitar one can choose from. Mainly Guitar are divides in two categories one is Acoustic and other one is electric.
Acoustic Guitars
An acoustic guitar is a guitar that uses only acoustic methods to project the sound produced by its strings. The term is a retronym, coined after the advent of electric guitars, which rely on electronic amplification to make their sound audible.
Acoustic guitars have many subcategories to it. Flamenco guitars, steel string guitars including the flat topped, twelve string guitar and many more. Unamplified guitars also come in Acoustic guitars categories which are designed to play in different registers, i.e acoustic bass guitar, which has a similar tuning to that of the electric bass guitar.
